We know that it can be a stressful process arriving at your holiday destination and we want you to relax, unwind and feel at home straight away so we provide a welcome hamper. It's our gift to you to allow you to have a rejuvenating cup of tea (or something stronger) and get you in the holiday mood. We aim to use as many local producers as possible to support our local artisans and small businesses and to showcase the wonderful food that Norfolk has to offer.

BOOK A COOK

We are so lucky to have such fresh, wonderful produce in Norfolk – freshly harvested, picked, foraged or caught just for you. We are also fortunate to have some fantastic local chefs who will come and cook a special celebration meal for you during your stay. What could be nicer than sitting back with a glass of fizz and letting someone else prepare a sumptuous meal for you in your holiday cottage!

If you want to have meals prepared and delivered to your door ready to reheat at your leisure we can recommend chefs who can do that too. All you have to do is decide which meals to choose!

Details of our highly regarded chefs are provided on our Digital Welcome Book along with some suggestions for meals which can be provided on a delivery only basis or fully cooked for you in the house. Please contact them directly for prices and to discuss numbers. Regrettably we only allow these authorised chefs and catering services on site as they are both known to us and familiar with the facilities.

VISITING SPA & PAMPER PARTIES

Go home looking ten years younger thanks to the magic hands of our therapists! Well, we can’t guarantee it … but why not indulge in the ultimate pampering experience and have the ladies from My Blissful Retreat come to you in your holiday cottage and work wonders leaving you feeling relaxed, refreshed and beautiful. They are able to offer a comprehensive range of therapies including massage, facials, spa treatments and hen party packages.

FIND YOUR INNER YEN!

Why not find some inner calm with a yoga session either in the sunshine on the terrace outside or in the calming space inside the house. Sophie has been teaching yoga online and in person for a decade and comes highly recommended – a beautiful soul who will challenge and inspire you, leaving you relaxed and energised.

FOOD DELIVERIES

Prior to your visit you are able to arrange a supermarket delivery for the day of your arrival. Waitrose, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Tesco’s all deliver here. Sometimes they don’t recognise the names of the houses, in which case just ask for the driver to deliver to The Old Rectory, Colby Road, Banningham NR11 7DY and we will direct them to the cottages.

We suggest that you ask for your delivery to come earlier than your own arrival. Around 2pm is a good time. Earlier slots are easier to book, particularly at peak time, and we can unload for you and get the wine in the fridge. Please let us if you have arranged a delivery just in case you are running late and for some reason we are not here either.

If you wish to arrange a Majestic wine delivery they only deliver here on a Thursday or Saturday. For a Thursday delivery please order by 3pm on the preceding Tuesday and for a Saturday delivery you will need to order by 3pm on Thursday. Please discuss with us and we may be able to accept the delivery on your behalf and store until your arrival.

We would suggest that you use the supermarkets for basic supplies as we have amazing local food suppliers offering the best that the Norfolk can offer both for food and drink. All of this information is contained within our Digital Welcome Book and gives you the lowdown on the very best places to eat and drink locally – even where to buy the very best Cromer Crab direct from the fisherman. No airmiles, the best produce and the nicest people!
